Butterflies

Gosh It has been awhile since Birdy or I blogged, and I am so sorry about that. We hope to get better at keeping up a schedule!

Our family has been on vacation in the Rainforest, and it has been so amazing and beautiful.. very wet though.. guess that is why they call it the rainforest huh?

There are tons of nature around us, and anyone that knows me, knows I love anything with wings. Fairies and Butterflies being my two favorites. Welp, in the rainforest I have found so many butterflies, but everytime I would go to catch one, Momma, Daddy or my Aunt and Uncle had something that the family needed to do. (not complaining just 'splaining) .. but this morning I got up before anyone else, and got dressed in this cute outfit I found at the la boutique Event from {Blubb} created by my friend Jennah. (Who is amazing btw!)

And went on a butterfly hunt.. and I finally caught one!

Isn't it so pretty? Like this bright glowing blue color. I thought about getting a jar and putting it in there to take it home with me, but then I realized butterflies aren't meant to be kept in Jars, they are meant to fly around and make things beautiful. So I let it go.. I hope I see it again before we leave.
I smell breakfast cooking and my tummy is grumbling.. so I am gonna go eat. I hope to talk to you guys soon!

Oh you know .. just kids.

Whoa I just realized that Birdy and I haven't done a blog post in like forever. I am so sorry for that, things just got crazy. But we are back and just in time to show you something tons of fun!

I am sure a ton of you know Marianne McCann, well she has had a store named You Know, For Kids. And she made this foam bat and ball that is so much fun! You can smack your siblings over the head with the foam bat.. all you have to do is walk into them, and throw the foam balls at them in mouselook.. and it doesn't even hurt!.

I wanted to show my sissy Birdy how it worked, but for some reason she didn't trust me... she took off runnin.. sometimes I forget she is only 6, and I am 8. And she is still a scaredy cat.

I better go.. I think I see momma, she might not understand I was just trying to SHOW sissy something. Not really chasing her or anything :)

What better than a War Turtle?

In keeping with Abby's theme, what better companion to have when fighting zombies than a War Turtle?! They're quicker than the average tortoise and come equipped with saddle, reigns, and some sharp spikes in case one of those zombies tries to sneak up from the side or behind!

Act quick! They're selling now at The Fantasy Collective! They come in sizes for male, female, kids, AND mermaid (seriously!). Toddleedoos, they're designed for regular kid avatars, but have no fear! If you make a copy of your shape, then increase the "Hover" slider, it will work perfectly for you too! (you "wear" the turtle, so if you don't increase the slider, the turtle will be in the ground - just add the shape to the turtle folder!)

Say Cheese!

Ohai! ♥ As Abby said, we've been wanting to do this blog together for many months and finally are getting it started! Well, to be fair, Abby got it started and has largely done everything so far, which I am so appreciative of, because I'm super new to this and still learning. We decided to begin with Ms. Strawberry Singh's Yearbook Smile Challenge. I was a little hesitant of this at first, because in RL, while everybody else came to school for photos with a nice blouse or simple dress on, my mother was insistent on dressing me up in some frilly dress with huge bows in my hair, as if I was going to be attending a formal ball. There were lots of snickers and P.E. was awful to change out for those days o.O Fortunately, it only came once to twice a year!

Thankfully, I had much more choice in what to wear for this photo! It was a lot more fun to take. :) I followed Abby's lead and made a shape for my smile / eyes as well.

I'm not too sure what to say about myself. I'm not an awesome builder like my big sis, but hope to learn more one day. Currently though, I can make some pretty awesome cubes and spheres.. in any color you desire! So, if you're ever in need of one of those (the cubes come in pretty handy for rezzing on if you're standing on mesh. Just sayin!), I'm your go-to person. Otherwise.. hmm.. I know quite a bit about coffee, more than I wish to know about math, and I'm trying to learn how to turn back time by studying Einstein's theory of time relativity! xD

Ohai! I'm Abby, my sister is Birdy, and this is our blog.

My sister and I have been wanting to have a blog for months now. We heard about Miss Berry's Second Life Yearbook, and we figured it would the best *first blog* post for us. Our Momma, Alicia, taught us how to smile in pictures without making our eyes are squishy or make us look mad.

I made a shape just for pictures. And opened my eyes a bit when I smiled. It works perfect. Mothers are pretty smart people, huh?

So I am gonna introduce myself with my yearbook picture.

My name is Abby (Mcdonnagh) Zanzibar, I have been in Second Life for going on 8 years. And I RP an 8 year old kid too. I love to explore and find new things to do.

I also love clothes (but not all frilly clothes), shopping, and I LOVE to build. I have a store called Sassafras Kids for about 6 years, it is closed now, but hopefully will be opening back up soon. I have an amazing family which I am sure you guys will hear lots about, because I tend to ramble a lot when I write. LOL.

My sister and I hope you guys like our blog, as much as we like doing it.  We hope to tell you about not only clothes and stuff, but events, places to explore, games, toys and furniture.  Sometimes we might just tell you about our day, or even do an editorial or two.
